Two things can be true.

All the time, I think about bringing this blog back to life, but this time…it’s happening.

When I think about bringing it back to life…I wonder why I stopped. So when I got my email from WordPress reminding me that I was going to be paying for this website for another year…I thought it was about time to figure it out.

So I did. Hence…two things can be true.

Turns out, my high activity rates align with election years (obviously). But the other (obvious, yet barely) interesting correlation is that I did not have a newborn in those years.

And guess what. We are officially team NO MORE NEWBORNS in this house. With a pre-schooler and a toddler…we are rock solid.

I wish I could say the same thing about this election year though.

It doesn’t take a blog post to make anyone aware that this election year is anything but rock solid as look at our 2024 options. But again, two things can be true:

I don’t have to bring up a single fact to prove that there is nothing solid about this election year…but I do have A LOT of things to say, and they will be lined with facts on facts on facts. And I’ll bring the resources to prove it.

So to reintroduce the purpose of this blog – I am not here to gossip or share my opinions (most of the time). I am not here to regurgitate the drama du jour. I am here to simplify the facts in hopes that it inspires someone to write a letter, make a phone call, vote, or change their behavior to benefit our local community.

I share the pros and cons of issues, and let you decide. There is only room for two Talking Heads in my life, and you are welcome to choose yours.

We are not, however, welcome to choose facts or consequences of policies, whether they are intentional or not. So buckle up, is only January 23rd and 2024 is already proving to be a wild ride. Let’s get it!
